PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
North Hills Hockey Club’s Skills Development Clinics are comprised of players from the North Hills School District who want to learn the skills necessary to play the sport of ice hockey while in an interscholastic program with their friends. Our mission is to give every family in our school district the opportunity to try ice hockey at a reasonable cost. Our goal is to help advance your child’s skill level while maintaining a commitment to having fun. Our objective is to provide as much information and as many resources as possible to each family, allowing them to make the best hockey decisions that fit their goals. Our Skills Development Clinics are purely developmental. We are a hockey initiation camp that focuses on learning to play. The focus of this camp is to teach the fundamentals of the sport through hard work and proper core skills development, including stick handling, shooting and skating. Use of stations and various small-area games will also aid in the learning process. If you are just learning to skate, then we strongly recommend building up that foundation prior to participating in our camp. This can be accomplished by attending learn to skate classes at your local rink.
